Wheelchair tutorial
1 Push the wheelchair on the flat ground
(1) When pushing the wheelchair on the flat ground, sit firmly on the buttocks, keep your body balanced, raise your head and face forward.
(2) The arms are backward and the elbow joints are slightly bent. The hands grasp the back of the wheel and ring. The arms are forward and the elbows are extended.
(3) Lean forward slightly and repeat several times. The forward momentum generated by the upper body strengthens the arm strength.
The wheelchair backed up on the flat ground
(1) Put your arms around the back of the chair between the handlebars and put your elbows on the manual ring.
(2) Lean backward and depress the shoulders so that the arms are strong enough to push the wheels backward. For those who cannot push the wheelchair up a slope, this method can also be used to push the wheelchair up a slope.
(3) In patients with hemiplegia, coordinated movements of the affected limb and the healthy side push the wheelchair forward
